Like many bespoke or tailor-made products, personalised beauty used to be expensive, but new advances in technology are driving down costs and helping increase consumer demand.

And as consumers become more knowledgeable and demanding in terms of beauty, cosmetics companies are increasingly being forced to rethink the one-size-fits-all approach to skin care, hair care and make-up.

To learn more about the technology powering personalised beauty solutions, we spoke with Tuyen Lamy and Constance Mandefield, co-founders of bespoke beauty brand, alche{me}.

They gave us some insight into the bespoke beauty scene in Asia and how it has affected the way brands interact with their consumers.

We also sat down with Mintel beauty analyst, Sharon Kwek, to find out more about how personalised beauty has changed the cosmetics industry and influenced the way we shop for beauty. Later, she gives us her predictions to how this new category may evolve in the future.

Take a look at our video for more.
